Singing in unison

I love when people sing together and their voices start to match and harmonize. There is beauty when people sing in unison.

On Sunday, I had heaps of fun with my Seniors. They are beautiful people who made me feel extra special. AND they even read the bible as promised. I look at the group and see that each of them has their own talents, their own skills and gifts. Each is important in the group.

Then I spent some time with the remaining members of cy fellowship, and found that each of them also has a role to play. Each of them has their own skills: some are caring, others are good listeners, others translators, etc. We were made to serve. We were made to worship, but not everyone was born to be a pastor, a missionary who works in Africa, a leader of worship at church service, someone who calls people, someone who organises. Instead, EACH of us, has been blessed with gifts that WE should use to serve with.

Sometimes we may look at the skills of others and feel inapt to serve. BUT this is the wrong attitude. It's like the hands saying to the eyelids, nar I don't need you. Or the heart saying to the brain, take a break, I'll do the rest. WE are all part of God's body. So we should all play our part today!

How then can we figure out what role we should play? Well, you should go and give it a go. Pray, asking God to reveal to you your role. And ask others to give you sincere feedback. And check this out for fun http://www.christianet.com/bible/spiritualgiftstest.htm

Romans 12

A Living Sacrifice
1 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Humble Service in the Body of Christ
3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your[a] faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,[b] do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.
