Want to puke!
Last night I felt really really sick. I wanted to puke. Partly because I am sick, but I also think it's because I spent the past week reading about purging and eating disorders.
At any point in time, 44% of females in high schools and 15% of males are trying to change their weight by dieting. Many people have negative body image. Although Eating disorders like anorexia nervosa is rare, it has the highest mortality of psychopathologies. People DIE from this disorder every year. People with this disorder become obsessed with what they put in their mouth, they measure, calculate and plan their food intake. They typically suffer from low self esteem. And overvaluation of body weight and shape.
For those with binge eating problems, they feel guilt and may feel the need to vomit or purge out the yucky food that went in.
The bible says that it's not what goes in that makes you clean, but what comes out from our hearts. Sometimes my thoughts are so gross that I do want to vomit them out and forget about them. But then they come back. Sometimes I consider myself ugly. The best way is to allow God to truly transform you inside and out!

10 Jesus called the crowd to him and said, “Listen and understand. 11 What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.”
12 Then the disciples came to him and asked, “Do you know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this?”
13 He replied, “Every plant that my heavenly Father has not planted will be pulled up by the roots. 14 Leave them; they are blind guides.[d] If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit.”
15 Peter said, “Explain the parable to us.”
16 “Are you still so dull?” Jesus asked them. 17 “Don’t you see that whatever enters the mouth goes into the stomach and then out of the body? 18 But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart,and these defile them. 19 For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. 20 These are what defile a person; but eating with unwashed hands does not defile them.”
