When one is in a state of joy, one can be thankful for just about anything. Today I was thankful for rain. Today I was thankful for napisan. 

Woke up this morning for a run, the sky looked decent so I walked outside, only to feel a few drops of rain. So I went back into the house to grab my rain jacket. As soon as I had finished my warm up walk, I felt a solid thud on my arm. Looked down and ewwww white bird droppings. I was so thankful for the rain. If not for the rain, the droppings would have landed directly on my arm. And because of the protection of my coat, I was able to continue running. Why stop and turn around?

When I have everything that I need. Everything else that comes my way just seems like a sweet bonus. I have already received eternal life. I know that I am loved by my heavenly father. Everything else- these surprises during the day, gifts in the mail, messages from my friends, encouraging emails and lovely facebook messages, are all just icing on the cake. 

A friend asked me what I wanted for my birthday. And I realised that I am in want of nothing for myself. But I will in fact post a list of things I want people to get me this year... (to be updated)
