I feel so unclean sometimes. Although I don't murder, steal, go over the speed limit or break any laws on purpose, I feel dirty sometimes. It's the way I think or the urges I have. I'm not talking of murder, but sometimes the thoughts - if said aloud- can be quite hurtful to others. They do not resonate love. I am sooooo grateful that the Lord loves me, even though he knows these thoughts of mine. I am sooooo moved by the song "You still love me". It's amazing how God can love me enough to die for me, even though he knows who I really am, a sinful creature. A flawed creature. A creature that has made it a habit to pick out flaws in others and a creature that hates his own creation. He still loved me even though I don't honour my mother as much as I should or when I am not as loving as I can be to friends, family and strangers.
We can choose the way we think. We can make it a habit to love others with our thoughts, but developing a habit takes time. And could take some effort if we have made it a habit to be critical.
