We of little faith

On a recent "adventure", I found myself on a boat being tossed about by the wind with no fuel to get us out of the sticky situation. Half-jokingly, I was screaming out for help. You can call for help in open sea but who would help you? Then, as the situation got worse, I found myself becoming more afraid, and the cries for help became more desperate. But in reality, the danger was all by inside my own head, others on board knew we were in no danger of perishing in the open sea.

And when help finally came, we prayed prayers of thanksgiving.

How many times do we just sit there in our metaphorical open sea crying out for help. How many times do we just throw our hands up and say that it's just too much? Who? What shall we fear when our lord is by our side? God never gives you more than you can handle. Help is never too far off. Don't be of little faith, lean on God's awesome provisions.

Matthew 8:23-27
23 Now when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him. 24 And behold! A severe storm arose in the sea, so that the boat was covered by the waves; but he himself was sleeping. 25 Then they went and woke him by saying, “Lord! Save us! We are perishing!” 26 So he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” After he got up, he rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became absolutely calm. 27 Then the men were astonished, saying, “What kind of a man is this One, that even the winds and the sea obey him?”
